Worst Movies of 2017
« on: December 20, 2017, 05:17:09 AM »
In all things, nature requires balance. As the light side rises, so must the dark. As good movies are celebrated, bad ones must be remembered. These are your most abysmal experiences of movies released this year.

Haters gonna hate.

Bottom 5 right meow...

79. Wonder Wheel (Woody Allen)
78. 47 Meters Down (Johannes Roberts)
77. Fist Fight (Richie Keen)
76. The Space Between Us (Peter Chelsom)
75. Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets (Luc Besson)

Good Time, Downsizing, King Arthur, The Mummy and Justice League are the next five...

That's twice today you've done that. You're on probation, you crazy Japanese cat cafe waitress person.

The two listed are fairly appalling. I haven't watched the others (lucky me). Three of the HMs are also between profoundly mediocre and terrible. Good job.

So far, these are films I liked less than Transformers: The Last Knight.

Death Note
Baywatch
Ghost in the Shell
Free Fire
Blade Runner: 2049

Snapshot. Good thing this is a Bottom 5 - a Bottom 10 might have irritated some people. I'm irritated by having to put a Sally Potter film in this list.

------- 2/10 -------
   97) Spider-Man: Homecoming  (Jon Watts)
   98) Beatriz at Dinner  (Miguel Arteta)
   99) The Party  (Sally Potter)  UK
------- 1/10 -------
  100) What Happened to Monday  (AKA Seven Sisters, Tommy Wirkola)  UK/US/...
  101) Transformers: The Last Knight  (Michael Bay)

Nice to see someone else (sort of) shares my opinion of The Party and also actually watched WHTM. Spider-Man has no business being on that list though.

Surprising that a Tom Hanks movie made my worst-of list this year:
The Circle

But it wasn't the very worst, that would be:
