For the first time, I kept track of my list starting at the beginning of the year. Because of that, I currently have 31 Discoveries, but will probably edit it down as I build my post.

I'm also waiting like most of you until the official start of the year just in case something should slip in at the last minute.

Limiting myself to feature-length movies made before 2014, I only have 7 worth mentioning. Two (*) are from Top 100 Club.

1. Separate Tables
2. Up Tight!
3. Billy Elliot
4. Ten Dark Women
5. The Day of the Jackal*
6. Investigation of a Citizen Above Suspicion*
7. Star 80

2. Up Tight!
What is this? Couldn't find it on IMDB.

Is that the 1958 Separate Tables?

Is that my Day of the Jackal?  :D

I always love this thread. I had a busy year and couldn't watch as many as I would have wanted to. I did revisit three favorites that I'd consider re-discoveries- Memento (2000, Christopher Nolan), Mulholland Dr. (2001, David Lynch) and Zodiac (2007, David Fincher). My second viewing of each cements them in the top tier of their directors' filmographies.

The rest of the year was mostly watching genre films or B-movies. A lot of these were made with care. Not always a great movie by any means, but the filmmakers definitely took an interesting approach...
-Fire in the Sky (1993, Robert Lieberman)
-Scream (1996, Wes Craven)
-Ravenous (1999, Antonia Bird)
-The Sixth Sense (1999, M. Night Shyamalan)
-Frailty (2002, Bill Paxton)

I also watched Nightcrawler (2014, Dan Gilroy) for the first time. Happy to see this got some Filmspots love back in 2014.

Ravenous and Nightcrawler stand at the front of the pack. Would highly recommend both.
