Sent it back? Like, a hard, physical movie? Something that you put inside a player? What kind of a freak are you?

While Netflix is a great service, their streaming catalog is hardly up to the task to satisfy most needs.

Updated 12/6/21

iCheck Movies Most Favorited - I don't have a check until #15 (One Cut of the Dead?)
Some films left off because I have no access. Here are the ones I've yet to see, but CAN see, up to #15.

1. Harakiri
2. Le Trou
3. The Human Condition (It's Part III on the list, but just give me Part I: No Greater Love for starters)
4. Love Exposure
7. Woman in the Dunes
8. Come and See
9. Happy End
13. The Salt of the Earth
14. High and Low

My explanation for not having seen any of these is fairly straightforward: 2, 7, 9, 12, 13, and 14 I was not aware of until I looked the list up; 1, 3, 4, and 8 I haven't been aware of for long, probably just the last couple of years.

IndieWire's Best Movie Musicals of All Time - The Next 5 That I Haven't Seen

2. All That Jazz
3. Sholay
4. Dancer in the Dark
5. The Band Wagon
9. Cabaret
10. West Side Story (1961)

Explanations: I would have never thought to watch All That Jazz or Cabaret prior to my deeper immersion into cinema over the past several years and my growing appreciation for musicals. Bandwagon I wasn't aware of before reading the list. Dancer in the Dark is only one I've heard of in reading pieces on Lars von Trier, and I'm not really a huge fan of his, so I didn't see it. Do really want to see it because of Bjork. West Side Story makes me a little nervous because of racial issues, but it'sprobably necessary for historical perspective, at minimum.

I’m somewhat of a Sholay advocate after oldkid and I watched it for our Bollywood marathon.

I have ten Best Picture winners I haven’t seen. Which should I see first?

The Broadway Melody
Cimarron
Calvacade
Mutiny On The Bounty
The Great Zeigfeld
The Life of Emile Zola
Mrs. Miniver
Gentleman’s Agreement
The Greatest Show On Earth
Around The World In 80 Days

I know what a proponent of democracy you are, so...is this your way of dictating?  ;) Drop your list, let's get the ball rollin'!  :)

The Life of Emile Zola

Paul Muni deserved the Oscar that year. That's my pick for you.

I'm going to use this resurrected club to work on a marathon I lost track of years ago.

Lola (1961)
Black Sabbath (1963)
Juliet of the Spirits (1965)
The Battle of Algiers (1966)
The Honeymoon Killers (1969)
The Garden of the Finzi-Continis (1970)
The Last Picture Show (1971)
Scenes from a Marriage (1973)
The Night Porter (1974)
The Lost Honor of Katharina Blum (1975)
The Killing of a Chinese Bookie (1976)
Eraserhead (1977)
La cage aux folles (1978)
The Tin Drum (1979)
Melvin and Howard (1980)
Blade Runner (1982)
Tender Mercies (1983)
Paris, Texas (1984)
Manhunter (1986)
Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown (1988)
How to Get Ahead in Advertising (1989)
La Femme Nikita (1990)
El mariachi (1992)
Naked (1993)
Three Colors: Red (1994)
Se7en (1995)
Kolya (1996)
Requiem for a Dream (2000)
Mulholland Dr. (2001)

Technically, I still owe Chuck The Battle of Algiers, but to keep with the rules of the club, I'll start over.
Masterpiece (100-91) | Classic (90-80) | Entertaining (79-69) | Mediocre (68-58) | Cinemuck (57-21) | Crap (20-0)

Gotta get Antares a film. Next up can dictate me one from THIS LIST.

Antares, that is one hell of a list! What's it from? I don't know if I have the best read on your tastes, but you certainly seem to know a lot about classic Hollywood. Are any of these rewatches? With classic Hollywood and film noir in mind, I'm going Mulholland Dr. Let's do this!

Back in 2010 I started a marathon that I never have come close to finishing. Here's a link.
