I'm still not all about it because those crafting things just aren't for me, but it does take a couple of hours to get going. I've been enjoying it more this time through, and idk if they overhauled the visuals or what but the worlds just feel like they have so many more rich colors. That said, it would be better if I regularly smoked weed, I think, and I could just vibe with that while I listen to music or have netflix on my laptop. There's just a simple joy to the exploration, I've found.
Also, bought Dead Cells (went with Switch for the portability factor, even if I know it'll overtake Octopath) and am loving it through my first 4 runs. Never played a Castlevania game fully/enough to have fond feelings when I like the Metroid of the Metroidvanias so much, but the run based gameplay, the visuals, the charm, the varied weapons. It's been a blast, and way better than something like Rouge Legacy which I bounced off of super hard. Unsure if it'll be like Spelunky, and the way weapons work is so different I'm not sure it can match the simplicity and depth balance that game has, or even TBoI, but it could get up there.
