Can't wait to see that one. I'm not surprised Colman is on your list, she's brilliant in everything I've seen her in.

She's really good in it, though all the performers mostly are, even #TeamEmma C Team. It's not always the Yorgos I want, but still well worth watching and fits in with a number of the ideas he likes to explore even though he didn't pen the script. Well worth the time, though I wish it resonated with me on a more personal, rather than professional, level. There's a visual choice in it that recurs throughout that I still don't really understand after my first viewing, though I did appreciate.

Kinda surprised that Madeline's Madeline hasn't been nominated for anything yet (according to the Google doc).

Madeline's Madeline

Best Actor - Helena Howard

Not in the doc apparently, but I did nominate Howard. Wish I liked the rest of the film as much as her performance.

Cool, glad you already gave her a no, sorry I didn't see it. Right now my best actress race is between Howard and Viola Davis, both incredibly good performances.

It was there, I just hadn't resorted so it was out of alphabetical order and not easily found.

I am not equipped to have a detailed debate about what constitutes “lead” and “supporting,” but my only basis is the fact that (for better or for worse) Viggo Mortensen definitely has more screen time and is the central character in terms of perspective.

Well, the Hollywood Foreign Press has spoken. Mahershala Ali is Supporting I guess, so we will go with that unless anyone else speaks up against that decision.
