After conference with pix, we have decided that we WILL be presenting Best Cinematography and Best Editing during the Filmspot broadcast!
The Oscars are really dropping the ball.

Pix still gonna host? Terribly looking forward to this years opening number.

Looking at our BP picks, though none of them are my BP, I love all of them. Who would have thought an animated superhero movie would be among our selections!

Also, what the CINECAST! is The Wolf House and how the Hell am I going to watch it? Never heard of it, unsure how it was seen enough to get a nomination, but from what I'm seeing I definitely want to check that out.
I hope it's not this. I couldn't even find a post for it in the boards. It's our own version of that film Willem Dafoe was nominated for.
It's this: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt8173728/
Apparently it was on mubi a month or two back.

I passed on a few chances to see that Dafoe one, though knew even at the time it was a mistake. I loved Diving Bell, but it wasn't getting the heat that I had expected, so figured I didn't need to prioritize it, but it's cool, didn't see the Close one either, I guess.

I hope it kicks off a copycat movement of animated superhero movies.

There's a history stretching back at least as far as Mask of the Phantasm, but none of them have hot the big screen. I'd love to see filmmakers do some of the weirder stories in animation. Just do it with confidence and purpose and it'll have a good shot at greatness.

That sounds good. Creating an entirely new universe, separate from any previous established worlds or characters would be welcome.

I saw the trailer for the new MCU Spider-Man film and was like, no Spider Gwen, no interest.
