My Dad has been listening to this guy's Bible study for a couple of years now and I've heard bits and pieces and always thought he had good stuff to say. So my Dad loaned me his book:

While good, the first thing he does is quote a Puritan as his primary influence for the book. Ugg. White Evangelicals really love clinging onto their problematic theologians.

Just finished THE NOLAN VARIATIONS. I wouldn't even consider myself a diehard fan but I found it interesting nonetheless.

Decided to take a break from Butler and read some Dick starting with a reread:

To be honest, I'm dreading this one a bit. 550+ pages, and there's a family tree at the beginning. Which means it's probably going to get into a lot of complicated family history. But we'll see.

I’ve been thinking about tackling that one myself

Several years ago, I wanted to bulk up my personal library with books I had enjoyed in the past but gotten rid of. So there's a lot of books I haven't read since my early 20's, including all of Salinger. Let's see if this still resonates.

Plucked both of these out of our Little Free Library, never read either one. Not sure which one I'll read first, probably the Grafton.

My two reading projects for the summer. A good 1400-1500 page project. Got a couple months, so it shouldn't be a big deal. I'm excited to finally get to Don Quixote!

I got about 2/3rds through Don Quixote, really enjoyed it, put it down for something else and never came back to it. That was like 10-15 years ago. I suppose I should just start over one day.
