There are some definite highlights. And it really does a good job of explaining how lucky we were to get the film we did. But parts of it were a bit much for me... the "cultural impact" stuff, people doing Cosplay, etc. It's fine people want to celebrate the film in whatever way, but I don't really relate to that circus level of fandom... it's all a bit attention seeking and playing it up for the camera. I'd prefer a stricter focus on the film and the people involved in making it. I don't get the sense they were having excruciating meetings in the editing room deciding what amazing material they were going to have to cut to come in under 2 hours. It felt padded. But you hang in there for the good bits.

It is a little odd that a spoof on fandom gets a Cosplay level fan following. I thought I was it's biggest fan ;) and the most obnoxious thing I do is quote it too much.

How did you find the doc.?

Ended up at 260 films in 2020. Exceeded my goals of 52 each for non-English language films and female-directed films with 60 (23%) and 74 (28%) respectively. Hope to keep that up or even top it in 2021.

209 for me, almost certainly a high since 2013. 74 of those were rewatches. 12 were shorts.

Not including uncountable (often partial) rewatches of Moana, Coco, The Lion King, Frozen, The Good Dinosaur, and more.

Totaled 73 titles which continues my downward trend of movie-watching. Apparently having all the time in the world did not translate into me working through my film backlog.
