I making Nomadland my last official 2020 film before I finalize a list regardless of what else I have or haven't seen (probs not going to finish Small Axe at this point after the first two, but who knows, I guess), though am fine with either option in terms of Filmspots, as I've mostly hit the big ones I think. Or not, tbh I don't have a good handle on what the essentials from 2020 are because of how things released. Minari is fine, not worth delaying anything over though as it's kind of just middling.

Is After Midnight at 2020 film or a 2021 film? Just launched on Shudder this week, but looks like it may have done VoD last year? Can't tell, not sure how out of my way I should go to watch it.

Nomadland is ineligible for Best Score (which, with the Filmspots as with the Oscars, is reserved for original music rather than just lyricless music).  If you love how the film uses Ludovico Einaudiís music, Best Soundtrack is the category for you!

Yes, just as soon as I can carve out time. But, yeah, hopefully sometime this week, I'll put together the ballot, etc., and then then nominations deadline will be 7-10 days out from that point. Sorry I can't be more specific just yet, but life, et al.

Yes (but still but eligible next year if they receive no nominations). We'll do our best to filter out films that were true 2021 releases (i.e., films without any of those virtual, qualifying screenings in 2020).
