Lesson of the Evil (Takashi Miike, 2012)

I just noticed this one, which I saw because of you. Miike started this decade with one of his most popular (13 Assassins) and then went into a period of creative experimentation. I saw As the Gods Will and Over Your Dead Body (my favorite) and am looking forward to First Love and probably Ace Attorney. What other Miike did you watch from this decade?

No pics (sorry to let everyone down), but I went through my Top Ten of each year from Processed Grass and I'm going to rank them here. Note that 2017 I didn't publish a list as I was at the height of redacted, from which FLY have still not recovered, but I did submit a Filmspots ballot, so I've got a top 5 to work with, and it turns out I still have a draft where I actually wrote about 10-6, so it worked out mostly. Anyway, I'm ranking these here, but had I went back to these years some would not make this list. I think this is a fun way to put the list together though, even if it's not definitive. I've put the year next to each one, and noted which cut where it fits, as well as which ones I watched in any special formats.

So many good lists, and even though I made my list, I keep finding films I need to see:

From FLY's List: The Lobster (just really getting to know Lanthimos)
From smirnoff: Moneyball (I'm a big sports fan, but skeptical of sports movies. Liked Capote and Foxcatcher, like Pitt and Hill, need to make time for this, esp. with D-back/baseball season upon us.)
jswysin: Just reminding me to see The Witch. I have The Lighthouse on my Top 50.

jswysin: Just reminding me to see The Witch. I have The Lighthouse on my Top 50.

I just watched The Lighthouse two nights ago and it will make my top 100 when I get around to updating it. The Witch is there but way to far back, it needs to be top 10 or 20 after my last rewatch.
