1. Charli - Charli XCX*
2. A Deathrace For Love - Juice WRLD (RIP to the god)*
3. All My Heroes Are Cornballs - JPEGMAFIA*
4. So Much Fun - Young Thug*
5. Assume Form - James Blake*

*Jesus Is King - Kanye West is the unofficial AotY as Kanye is always given top spot whenever he releases a project, though this is the first time since 808s that he didn't also take it outright.

Charli, JPEG, and James Blake, I can dig it.

I feel you on Kanye. Yeezus is probably my Album of the Decade, Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy top five, Life of Pablo top one hundred, maybe top fifty. Talking about biases in another thread, I have a strong aversion to Christian music/movies/lit/etc. I still haven't finished Jesus is King.

My list:
1. U.F.O.F. - Big Thief
2. Kiwanuka - Michael Kiwanuka
3. I Am Easy to Find - The National
4. Remind Me Tomorrow - Sharon Van Etten
5. Igor - Tyler, The Creator

3. All My Heroes Are Cornballs - JPEGMAFIA*

Agree with these two. I haven't listened to any recent album enough times to come up with a ranking, but here's some more I'd consider tops:

Lizzo - Cuz I Love You
Swans - Leaving Meaning
Tuxedo - Tuxedo III
YUNG BAE - Bae 5
Surfing - Emotion
Motion Sickness of Time Travel - Magick Box
Dam-Funk - STFU II

I have MBDTF as number one, Fiona Apple as number two, and Yeezus as number three, but those Kanye albums are pretty interchangeable for me mostly, with ye not too far behind, and I've come around a lot on TLoP as well for it to rank pretty highly. JiK, to me, is still good, and when Kanye's rapping about himself in relation to Christianity the album is at its best, it's just too short and veers from that. Still need to listen to the Yandhi leak, even if I don't want to be one of 'those guys' but the idea of an album with the same focus as JiK while retaining aspects that make something like "I Love It" so great is highly appealing to me.

Awesome list, Keith! Although most of my home listening is albums all the way through, with individual tracks pretty much exclusively in the car, a good number of those songs left an impression. 'Course, there's a good number I haven't heard. Nice to see someone else who appreciates The National!

Definitely! Saw them twice last year, their pre-release surprise show in Philly was one of my fave sets ever. Berninger was trashed. When he came off the stage for Terrible Love, he hugged some random guy, could barely make it back up, made balding Bono jokes. So good.
