Ad Astra and 1917 received the same number of votes for Best Picture — one each.

The failure of Midsommar to earn a Best Picture nomination displeases me.

Teproc - didn't see your other comment on 3 Faces, sorry. Hard to keep up right now! I just don't want it to fall into some general misery category, I feel it's so much more than that.

Listening to Slate Spoiler Special of Portrait of a Lady on Fire and they talk about how quiet it is and no non-diegetic music. I put it on Best Score, which seems extra fitting for me.

Did my loss of faith in it, moving it behind Little Women, cost it the spot?

Yes, I think this is a huge part of what makes the two musical scenes (I suppose there technically are three but you know the ones) work so well. I don't think I had it in Score because it's really just that one song, but I had it in Soundtrack instead.

The Last Black Man in San Francisco
Directed by Joe Talbot

Nominations
Best Adapted Screenplay

I meant do a check to make sure all the nominees belonged in their categories, but I ran out of time. Looks like this one slipped through. We'll probably need to revote in the two screenplay categories.
