I was the Purple Noon vote. The Color Purple did not occur to me.

I only had The Color Purple and Purple Rain for the first one. Doesn't help that I have not seen any of these Purple films, though I could at least have thought of Purple Rose of Cairo.

Well as you may have looked up immediately after guessing (or to confirm what you already knew), the director of Interview with the Vampire is Neil Jordon.

I thought this question was interesting, as it occurred to me a few weeks ago and I thought "who DID direct that movie". It seemed like a big movie with big names, and yet I've never known who directed it. When I looked it up I didn't recognize the name Neil Jordon.

Francis Ford Coppola was guessed by three different people, and one person guessed Tony Scott. Both guesses are better than anything I'd have come up with.

I was a pretty big fan of Jordan's circa Breakfast on Pluto, though that and The Crying Game are now retroactively problematic. It wasn't one that I was 100% sure about but it lingered in my mind.

Person who guessed Sin City, you gotta show yourself because you left the name blank.  Love the guess though. It made me laugh :))

I came up with Neil Gordon, knew it was wrong and didn't participate. So close.
