Hey everyone, I know the forum is having some troubles and if we move hopefully we can carry this with us!  My top 100 is not super sophisticated and some are just ones personally endearing rather than giving any innovative or overly-creative ideas of film.  No worries if we go on hiatus and pause this until things in and out of the forum settle down.  I hope are all well.

Looks like I should be able to get to the top three unseen quite easily: Grand Hotel, The Horse's Mouth and Tender Mercies. Trees Lounge is possible too.

Wow, a lot to choose from here. Leaning towards Pain and Glory, since it's one I already wanted to see. However, Tender Mercies was my aunt's favorite movie, it feels like I should have seen Top Gun already, and Fiddler on the Roof keeps popping up in the Club. Probably I'll just go with Almodovar though.

I'll look through these tomorrow. I know I've seen some of them, but they were long ago and I never wrote about them or looked at them from the perspective of someone's all time top films.

This list is juicy! It's got baseball, 80's stuff I've never seen, new stuff I've never seen... and old stuff I'll probably never watch. :))

What choices!

I'm really excited to have you guys watch some of these!  I actually heard there might be a FIDDLER ON THE ROOF remake coming in the future, not sure that's something that should be remade haha!

Amazing list! Here are the three I hope to watch this month.

The Agony and the Ecstasy (I forgot this was made into a film. I've had the book on my shelf for a long time, waiting to be read.)
Eagle vs. Shark (It will probably be a chat review with KOL, since he expressed interest in watching it as well.)
A Woman of Affairs (You and Garbo. :) I was surprises to not see Conquest or Queen Christina on your list, but having two of her films is good representation.)

Thank you Sandy! Glad to have you along on this.  Yeah Garbo is one of my all time favorites and while CONQUEST and QUEEN CHRISTINA are some of my all time favorites, I wanted to include some of her silent work.  That silent one is a bit darker, which is kinda what attracts me to her early work.  I LOVE Irving Stone, Agony, Lust for Life (also a movie), and The Origin are some of my favorite books ever.  The film is not as great as the book (when are they ever right, haha), but it does tell a good story and of course I really like Rex Harrison.  EAGLE VS SHARK should be a total Sandy movie (I hope!) :)

I'm looking forward to it, darkness and all.

I believe you are right! Anything with Clement and Waititi in the credits, will make me happy. :)

Like the others, there are quite a few on your list I have yet to see, and a number I want to see.

I want to see Eagle v. Shark, for certain.
The Agony and the Ecstacy
Wake in Fright-- I'm interested but I'd love to have a sentence from you about why I should watch it
Major League-- I'm not a sports guy, but this film has got a good reputation.  Is it good for a non-baseball fan?  What about Pride of the Yankees?
