Top Ten Comedy Horror Films
« on: October 06, 2022, 09:05:29 PM »
My top ten comedy horror films:

-Evil Dead II
-Young Frankenstein
-Kind Hearts and Coronets
-Shaun of the Dead
-Rare Exports
-Cabin in the Woods
-Addams Family Values
-Zombieland
-Rubber
-The Happiness of the Katakuris

My rules for my list:
Rules:
It’s a comedy, so I have to laugh. Just dry sarcasm or breaking the fourth wall doesn’t count by itself.
Horror doesn’t have to be scary, although that helps. It must have horrible events or at least a very generous of horror tropes (like zombies or serial murders).

Mrs. oldkid just yelled at me for not including Tremors on my list.  I could have an HM list longer than my original ten.

I have a really broad definition for "horror" but I never considered Kind Hearts and Coronets, which has been mentioned by three of you.

People get killed by a vengeful, disgruntled psychopath. It fits the criteria, as does Homebodies.

As far as the "horror", it really isn't that different from Arsenic and Old Lace, and much spookier.
