Babbete's feast
« on: November 22, 2005, 10:49:04 PM »
This is a Swede film from the 80's, it has its flaws (most notably, the general's old aut seems younger and more energetic 30 or so years after we first see her) but is totally charming.

Has anybody seen it?, if not (most likely) seek it out, it is really worth it.

Impish (unrecognized)

I love this film also.  Slowly paced, but the payoff is big, especially if you like find food!

This film argues well for the importance of pleasure; a sort of  non-Bacchanalian form of hedonism that Christianity has given a bad name.
