Damn, can't argue with that.

I'll concede that diarys are for little girls, but I'll maintain that priests are still better then donkeys.  Edward J. Flanagan was a priest, and his picture is on a four cent stamp.  What have donkeys ever accomplished?

This is how I rank the Rohmer films I've seen:

Claire's Knee
Summer (Le Rayon Vert)
A Summer's Tale
Rendezvous in Paris
Chloe in the Afternoon
Marquise d'O
Pauline at the Beach

I think Claire's Knee is the ultimate Rohmer film and shouldn't be missed if you are going to pick just a few to see.

I know it is technically a short film(52 minutes) but The Red Balloon has to be included on your guys French Masters Marathon or Silent Film Marathon.  It is an absolute masterpiece and probably one of the best movies ever made.  I think this is the only short film to win Best Original Screenplay at the Oscars.

vote: Les Dames du Bois de Boulogne!
I own it and haven't watched it.

Balthazar. I like it. But it isn't the homerun it is for everyone else with me.  Whatever.

I want to see Mouchette.

As for Bergman.   what a character.  We should discuss the hanging dog in Passion of Anna.
