Nice list. I liked that it's different from most. I've seen all but Oasis which I always meant to see, but never got around to it. It was in theaters for like 30 seconds. I really liked Yi Yi, but I don't remember much about it. I am inspired to give it another look now. Crimson Gold is a great choice. Jaffer Panahi is one of the best living directors of world cinema. White Baloon and The Circle are brilliant as well. Offside was only at Music Box for a week. I should know better, and see these things on opening day.
Yeah, I still haven't seen
Offside either but love Panahi. Try to catch up with
Oasis and Lee Chang-dong's other films (I was tempted to include
Secret Sunshine here but limited myself to one film per director), I think they're more interesting than other more well-known Korean auteurs like Park Chan-Wook and Kim Ki-Duk (although I do like Park and would include
Lady Vengeance on my 6-10 list).
Yi Yi improved on second viewing for me.
One I forgot about:
The World (Jia Zhang-ke, 2005) which I would rank just below
Yi Yi.
