Has anyone seen "Bringing Darkness Into Light"? I noticed Christopher Nolan was involved. It looks like a Film Noir documentary of sorts.

It's not bad. It's more of an extra disk that comes with the Noir box set's, but it is still very interesting.
What? What are you talking about? It's girls and spaghetti. We love girls and spaghetti.

The Killers - So, this is my second noir with an insurance man as a heavy.  Were insurance guys really considered formidable characters back then?  It's just kind of funny.

Back then? Dude insurance companies are straight out of film noir NOW.  Those guys are brutal.  Don't cross any of them or try to file claims for, y'know, illnesses.  They'll stage your death and make it look like an accident toot sweet.  Then the life insurance company gets involved and blah blah blah...

I haven't really seen any noir classics (except the Big sleep) so I am really looking forward to this. I've put in my order for Double Indemnity and The Killers, hopefully they will arrive by the weekend for I can watch double Indemnity before I listen to the show.

I'm curious to see Fred MacMurray's performance as I've only seen him in the old sitcom My Three Sons.

He's a lot different.  He's not exactly the Absent-Minded Professor either.

All the films in the marathon have been covered by the Out Of The Past podcast.  It's a little academic, but certainly listenable.

I'm kind of sad probably my favorite overlooked Noir (Laura) wasn't included, as well as another good one, Mildred Pierce. I strongly recommend people chekc those out, ESPECIALLY Laura.

I've seen both... so that was a factor in those being excluded.

I like Billy Wilder's running insurance theme (Double Indemnity, The Apartment). Especially since I am stuck in that God-forsaken sector.
