Filmspotter Marathon #1
« on: April 19, 2007, 07:26:08 PM »
Some of us have decided to do our own Marathon. We welcome you to join us. This is in no way to take the place of Sam & Adam's marathons. Please watch along with them! Consider this an extracurricular activity.

Please vote on what marathon you would like to do first.

So the first Filmspotter Marathon is going to be Bergman films. I am guessing that since Bergman was the number one choice, most of you haven't seen many of his films.

Here is the lineup:
1. The Seventh Seal (1957)
2. Winter Light (1963)
3. Persona (1967)
4. Cries and Whispers (1972)
5. Fanny and Alexander (1982)[/b]

One film a week?
Let me know if these are alright. All of these are easy to get on NETFLIX.

I didn't vote for Bergman, but I'd be happy to follow along with this marathon.  My only thought is that of all Bergman's films, Seventh Seal is probably the one most people have seen (I have)... is there something else we could replace it with? or am I the only one who would want to replace it?

I thought the same thing. I was either going to do Seventh Seal or Wild Strawberries. What would you guys prefer?

Maybe you should include Smiles Of A Summer Night, you know, just to freak people out.
