The soundtrack to In the Mood for Love. A bit hit and miss, but the hits are very good.
-Le Chiffre: You changed your shirt, Mr Bond. I hope our little game isn't causing you to perspire.

-James Bond: A little. But I won't consider myself to be in trouble until I start weeping blood.

All I need from that soundtrack is Yumeji's Theme, I could listen to that all day.

That's basically what I was getting at. I really don't need to listen to those scratchy radio songs.

Hey, my brother grew up with Leonard Podolak (the banjo player). Nice guy.

TV on the Radio's "Dear Science"

I really wish they would give their albums better titles.

Who cares about the title?  It's my favorite album of the year!

And it's a better title than Return to Cookie Mountain.

Agreed. I still love them, the titles are a minor (recent) quibble.

But do you think DS is better than RtCM? I haven't listened to the album enough yet to decide.

I suggest seeing them this fall, the Dirtbombs are opening for them and it is going to be aweeeeesome.  That's the other great thing about TVOTR, they always seem to have quality openers (I saw Grizzly Bear open for them in '06, right as they were getting popular).

I think it might be their best album.  It's certainly the one I caught onto the fastest.  Desperate Youth took me a couple of listens to get into.  Cookie Mountain took me longer, even though it's a better album, but this was the first one that clicked instantly for me.  If anything, it's made the band as a whole completely click for me.  I've been listening to all three on a loop for the last couple of days and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Unfortunately, I missed getting tickets for their shows in NYC.  I didn't even know this album was coming out until after the shows went on sale, so... maybe when they're done touring, they'll do a couple of homecoming shows or something.  I can hope.
