Transformer, Rock and Roll Animal, MMM and Berlin are really the only ones I've ever heard anything about.  I got Coney Island Baby just because I like that song.  I'll have to check out those two as well.

The ones you have so far are the best ones for sure, Blue Mask and Legendary Hearts are intermediate steps.

I felt like my brain had melted or something.

In a good way?

Myself, I bought it and then promptly sold it.

Yes, it was quite indescribable.  It was like I realized there is some great way to torture fans of the boys bands of the day when I bought it back in 2001-2002.  I don't listen to it very often.  Only when I really need to.  Especially if there's some goddamn annoying song stuck in my head.

t.A.t.U. is stuck in yr head for a reason - the reason being they are awesome.  embrace it.

I wish Akron/Family weren't turning into a jam band.

You wished wrong. I find their new sound much preferable than the advent-garde sound of prior albums.

Yeah, I don't.  The S/T and split album with Angels of Light will remain their pinnacle.  Seems like when they went from a 4 piece to a 3 piece (with added members from other bands), they lost the concept of editing.
