The next Harmonix release is Rock Band: The Beatles  :'( But paying $60 to play Helter Skelter is cancled out by the Fall 2009 release of LEGO Rock Band which will hopefully be chock full of pop rock and, hopefully, some Disney songs.

I'm sure they're great from the band's perspective. The rest of us however...

So far the single band standalone titles from Harmonix and Activision are as follows...

GH: Aerosmith
Rock Band Track Pack: AC/DC Live
GH: Metallica
Rock Band: The Beatles
GH: Van Halen

All of those bands suck, out of the lot The Beatles are likely the best band, but when you're hanging around with two toothed hookers is it really that much better to be the one with three teeth?

Aerosmith, Metallica, and Van Halen all mostly suck.

I don't need to tell you how wrong you are about AC/DC and the Beatles.

I'm just saying, take away "Helter Skelter" from The Beatles, which was only a good song because they were poking fun at The Who or The Clash or something I think, and they are just another generic band who put out Dylan songs a few years after Dylan did. I'm not going to question their influence on music, but I would question how warranted that influence is.

You know Dylan is the second most overrated human being to have ever lived right?
