Mando Diao - Ode to Ocrasy

If you haven't heard their stuff... try it!

long before rock 'n roll and ocrasy are still my favorites on the album

Lise could you make a mix CD and send it to me. I love all your music suggestions!

Tegan and Sara - The Con - not quite as good as their last...but I will give it few more goes.

This is actually my favourite Tegan & Sara album by far, and that's saying something.  I read a few reviews before getting it and was doubtful — it seems to be a bit of a polariser — but I really love it.  Also, I'm going to see T&S in December — and they're playing at my very favourite venue!  Hooray!

I just traded a friend of mine my copy of Surfer Rosa for his copy of Synchronicity. He also let me borrow Today Is Tonight by The Changes. I'm listening to The Changes at the moment and I'm thoroughly impressed!

I just downloaded two White Stripes albums (De Stijl and Icky Thump). This is my first time hearing them and I like what I've heard so far...which is only 3 songs but they are good ones so far. Are there any other albums I should listen to in order to get the idea of the White Stripes?

I also just downloaded The Decemberists' Her Majesty, but I haven't listened to any yet...

Junior, I would say go ahead and check out Elephant by the White Stripes as well.  I would also recommend checking out a band called Explosions in the SKy, they aren't real rockin' but they make some of the most beautiful music I have heard.  Otter will back me up on that one.  Everyone needs some Explosions in the Sky in their life.
