Well, since I was trying to get it out of the packaging while driving home from the store, I was a little annoyed with it.  But, once I got it home, I did appreciate it.

I bought In Rainbows today just for the packaging and to give them my money for making a great record I downloaded a few months ago.

Recent pirated downloads, PJ Harvey-White Chalk (Jesus, that is raw and I love it) and Goldfrapp Seventh Tree (not as good as the last album but yet, enjoyable and sensual).

Yeah - PJ is quite good - a totally different sound for her yet unmistakeably PJ Harvey...

The Magnetic Fields-Distortion

It's basically a noise-pop album yet a really good one.  It's a bit like the Velvet Underground, the Jesus & Mary Chain, and the Raveonettes.  Yet, Stephin Merrit's lyrics are as catchy and as humorous as ever.  There's a great song called "California Girls" where Shirley Simms sings "I hate California Girls".  PM if anyone wants a leaked download url.  Shhh...

Wilco's Sky Blue Sky and Yankee Hotel Foxtrot.

My first discovery of 2008 was, as usual, discovered by everybody else years ago.

Andy Bey - I got two of his:

Ain't Neccessarily So
American Song

One of the most underrated jazz vocalists today...once again kudos to NPR for turning me on to an artist that I would have normally not heard. His vocals are so soothingly sensual to listen to...

Yeah, but that doesn't change the fact that they're AWESOME discoveries, though!

Bauhaus-Go Away White, it was leaked recently so I downloaded it last night.

It's a great album and it's definitely going to be their last.  Well, what a way to go out and it might come out on CD in March.  I'll probably get it since it's the first best album of 2008 and they did a great job.
