Now all there's left is Scorsese and Malick.

What about Godard?
What? What are you talking about? It's girls and spaghetti. We love girls and spaghetti.

HA.  Godard.

Sorry, that was mean.

Winter Light is a great one... I would have to go with Fanny and Alexander at #1, Wild Strawberries at #2, and Winter Light at #3.

Here is a little something to brighten everyones day!

I took this screen capture a few years ago from the Fanny and Alexander Criterion DVD... makes me laugh every time.  What a guy...
Great capture.  I think that talk was on a disc from the early marathon as well VS or WL.  I'm tempted to make that my avatar.
But I wish the public could, in the midst of its pleasures, see how blatantly it is being spoon-fed, and ask for slightly better dreams.

Are you calling for a vote or for us to play that death-date guessing game?

[A bit macabre to most, I suppose]

No, I'm just hoping it's not Scorsese or Woody

or Malick or Godard or Herzog.

I bet right now, Antonioni and Bergman are arguing over their triumphs.
