I feel we got another great one in this category just this year.

One of my problems is that movies aren't very well organized in my mind by theme, type of scene, etc. But here I go anyway.

1. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
2. Abre Los Ojos (the original Vanilla Sky)
3. The Mirror
4. Vertigo
5. The Father

My list has a lot that haven't been named yet.

My Top 5
1. Memento
2. Inception
3. Mulholland Dr.
4. Waltz With Bashir
5. The Manchurian Candidate (1962)
6. Total Recall
7. Dead Again
8. Away From Her
9. The Long Kiss Goodnight
10. Rashomon - more about interpretation than memory, but it kind of fits.

HM:
Alain Resnais has two that should at least be mentioned.

Worst Movie About Memory:
Finding Dory, where Dory remembers only what she needs to exactly when she needs to to move the plot forward.

Yes, saw Abre Los Ojos first, aaaaand...don't like Tom Cruise. Prefer the original.

1SO- Finding Dory lol. I have never seen it. The odds I will see it now are greatly reduced.

In no particular order

Act of Killing
External Sunshine of a Spotless Mind
Memento (and not overrated)
45 Years
Solaris (and blasphemy, but the remake)
Fight Club
The Hangover
Dead Again

My first thought was Rashomon but then similar to 1SO, this really is about different points of view of a same event though it could also have elements of how each character remembers the events.

I'm with you, I greatly prefer Soderbergh's adaptation. Wish it would come out on Blu-Ray already.
