I would love to have a bit of a lighter marathon this time. What do you guys think?
What? What are you talking about? It's girls and spaghetti. We love girls and spaghetti.

Tone is insignificant for me as long as I'm interested. Did you have something in mind?

The Best of Camp or
The Best of B-Movie

I've always wanted to have an excuse to watch some really bad movies, Barbarella specifically.
I second Camp.

I've also had female directors on my mind since that Top 5, still don't think there's enough attention there, but that probably wouldn't work with the lighter fare request.

Has there been a mockumentaries marathon yet?

Didn't faceboy suggest some sort of Chaplin and other such movies marathon. I like that idea.

Really, did I? That'd be fun. I'd be up for that, or maybe Keaton, or Tati, or Lewis. Some combination of those maybe.

The 80s songs thread made me think of a John Hughes marathon...

I think that's territory that most of us have covered. Same reason that Woody Allen probably wouldn't work.

Mainly in the interest of getting more people involved, I'll vote for a "fun marathon" or lighter fare.  If we went with fun, what themes could we follow?

We have these "fun" topics on the table:
Camp
B movies
Chaplin (?)
Dancers on Film
Grindhouse (?)
John Waters
Billy Wilder (?)
Keaton
Tati
Lewis
John Hughes

Not sure about everything I wrote on the list.  Someone can correct it and re-post it.

I would be down for some camp or B movies. I also think a few films from Chaplin, Keaton Harold Lloyd, and Tati would be fun.

Make a preliminary list and post it and see what everyone thinks.
