Who's Camus Anyway?
« on: September 18, 2007, 10:55:00 PM »
A quirky new film from Japan about a group of film school students working on a slasher film. Drama arises within the group when they begin to disagree on the killer's motivation. The title is relevant in that the lead actor is given Camus' The Stranger to understand the indifferent murder committed by Meursault. The cinematography beautiful, using the campus-life background in very creative ways. The acting is fantastic, with very interesting characters. The pacing is fairly slow, but I never found myself bored. Film-geeks will appreciate the numerous classic film references.

Definitely a film to check out.
And the rain sets in
It's the angel-man
I'm deranged
