I'll say Grizzly Man.

Some of that is great, a lot of it is just weird.

I would go with Pan's or Tenenbaums.

I'd say Tenenbaums over Pan's if you choose to ignore Grizzly Man.

I finally watched Grizzly Man the other day and it's really good.  Definitely either that or Tenenbaums.

I started Tenenbaums last night, but was so beat from school I had to turn it off at "Chapter two," and feel right asleep.  Hopefully I'll get to finishing it sometime today.  What's weird is I had just watched Pushing Daisies on ABC, and so watching them almost back-to-back was interesting.  They defnitely have a similar tone and atmosphere.

I wouldn't watch Grizzly Man before bed. It gave me nightmares. The movie did have a permanent impact on me and that doesn't happen with a lot of films. It also helped me "get" Herzog... the way he lingers on people that extra second... I could really feel his style at work, which for me was a good thing.

Pushing Daisies
reminded me of Delicatessen or Babe: Pig in the City. I think it is the whimsical nature of it.

This would be my order and I'm not terribly interested in the last two:

Assassination of Jesse James
Michael Clayton

We Own the Night

Elizabeth: The Golden Age

But I wish the public could, in the midst of its pleasures, see how blatantly it is being spoon-fed, and ask for slightly better dreams.

I love Jesse James. Every moment of it. It is an outstandingly beautiful (looking) movie. And I was riveted by each story. HOWEVER, it is long. Which was fine for me because I felt really connected to it. But I can't guarantee that for everybody.

I just realized I have a Netflix queue that is over-stocked with dramas and foreign films. Right now I have three films at home about death. I think I am in desperate need of some comedies. Any recommendations? Any comedies in your queue that you're looking forward to?

I just got Thank You For Smoking from my library, and I hope to get to it soon.

But I know what you mean, a while ago it seemed like I just had a bunch of dark, intense movies, and it just made me want to scream for a comedy!
