Nice, Basil!

I had a three movie goal this weekend and watched none of them... :(  Oh well at least I got some Arrested Development in!
It's like I've waited my whole life, for this one night.  It's gon' be me you and the dance floor.  We've only got one night.  Double your pleasure, double your fun.  And dance forever.

Michael: No. I know who Annabelle is. Who's the Ann that's in the beauty pageant?
George Michael: That's her. Her name isn't Annabelle, that's Ann.
Michael: No, I know her name's not Annabelle. That's how I remember her name, 'cause her body's kind of shaped like a... She's the belle of the ball.

We should stop before this turns into an AD quotefest. Not that that wouldn't be awesome, but it doesn't really have anything to do with DVDs.

I don't know, I haven't seen most of them. Maybe I'll watch Sans soleil when you do, as I started it once months ago and never came back to it. It's just been staring at me. Blood of a Poet is really good but nowhere near being Cocteau's best. I'd argue, however, that A Story of Floating Weeds is better than Floating Weeds though I haven't seen the latter in a long time.
You're just jealous! Nobody loves you because you're tiny and made of meat!

I started Sans soleil last night, so I'm going to finish that one first.  After that . . .?

Sans Soleil leads naturally into A.K., which leads naturally into Tokyo-Ga, which leads naturally into A Story of Floating Weeds.  But you might need a break between the first three, so maybe work in some Lubitsch and Sturges.
