Die Hard 2 has the seat ejection scene, Die Hard 3 has the "I hate ni**ers" sign in Harlem scene. They make them worth watching at some point because of these scenes.

The 4th one has no scene worth watching the movie for.

They are nowhere near as good as the first one, but I've never hated myself for watching them either.  I remember being really irritated with the 2nd one because it's almost completely a re-do of the first with a slightly different setting (airport instead of skyscraper), down to the obnoxious newscaster.  I remember liking 3 quite a bit, mostly because of the interaction with Samuel L. Jackson, and the most recent one was an acceptable check-your-brain-at-the-door summer smash-bang-boom sort of thing.

That said, I don't think I've watched any of them more than once on TV and maybe once on video/DVD, whereas I can't count up how many times I've watched Die Hard.

I'd pretty much agree with this. You can skip the 2nd and watch the 3rd and 4th for a good time.

If I can make it work I might try. Seems like I'm already packing in a lot as is though.

Yeah don't run out of time for Snatch, Lock Stock and Leon!

Don't worry, I'll definitely make some time for Ritchie and Besson.

Start with Mononoke.  Nausicaa is excellent but dated, especially the music.

Everyone here loves animation but me. I feel like I should watch some more. Can someone recommend something that I might like given my known preferences.

The only animation I really like is Grave of the Fireflies, Sita Sings the Blues, Waltz with Bashir, , and Les Triplettes de Belleville . In other words, stuff kids would hate!

Any suggestions?

If you haven't seen Mononoke that's your best bet, I think.
