C can wait until after the filmspots.

Meaning it's not top five material (as documentaries go)?

Absolutely not. There are probably five documentaries on Iraq better than Crazy Love.

I was afraid of that.  My other choice was Zoo.  Guess I screwed that up..

It's not bad. Unless you know their story from the news and such, you'll probably enjoy it on that level. As a film it brings nothing to the table. Could've been an E! True Hollywood story or something off of the now defunct Court TV or TLC.

a) Blame It on Fidel!  (Julie Gavras, 2006)
b) Climates  (Nuri Bilge Ceylan, 2006)
c) Crazy Love  (Dan Klores, 2007)
d) Deep Water  (Louise Osmond & Jerry Rothwell, 2006)
e) Tekkonkinkreet  (Michael Arias, 2006)
f) The Wind That Shakes the Barley  (Ken Loach, 2006)

Please choose two.

i watched f last night, rented b (and i'll hopefully watch it tonight), and tried to rent a, but it was all out.  i had e on my list, but two other rentals came up before it came to that:)  i think i should remember d for my next trip.  we sure do make a small incestuous world, no?  and zoo is worth a look.
But I wish the public could, in the midst of its pleasures, see how blatantly it is being spoon-fed, and ask for slightly better dreams.

Is there a marathon coming up involving Y Tu Mama Tambien? I can't remember for sure.
