I've never watched a Fellini movie. Any ideas where to start?

It took me three tries to fall in love with 8 1/2, but once I did I never regretted a second. It's pretty remarkable.

8 1/2 is probably my least favorite Fellini film that I've still liked. I would say that Nights of Cabiria or La Strada are easier to love. Just avoid Juliet of the Spirits  :-[

I'd have to go with La Strada. As good as 8 1/2 is, it is a bad starting point for most people (or so I hear).

Also, should I watch Funny Games before going to see Funny Games U.S.?

I can see that, for sure.

Nights Of Cabiria's a good middle ground.

See, I really thought La Strada would work better because while it may not be as much a middle ground work, I think it works better as a "wow" work for someone trying to get excited about Fellini.
