Last day of school today.
I actually consider a lot of movies to be life-changing! I take them to my heart and they melt into my personality.

A- in Genre Theory!!

I always feel like the dumb kid in my film classes, but they are always the ones I do well in.

I got As in all my classes this semester and managed to maintain a 4.0. The classes were American Government, Principles of Sociology, English Composition I, and History (I forget the name). However, I'm currently attending community college until I transfer, and I've been taking most of my classes online; so I'm sure things are easier for me than for those who attend universities and take classes in the actual classrooms.

Until the next semester starts, I need to edit two of my essays which I plan to submit to the school newspaper/magazine. I had to write both of the essays for English. The first assignment was to write a narrative essay. For the assignment, I wrote an essay I titled "Trust and the Foundations of Knowledge." It's somewhat humorous (if not lame and heavy-handed), but also brings up an important issue - at least, I think it is important - about religion and epistemology. I narrated an account (which is a combination of fiction and fact) of how when I was young I learned Santa Clause does not exist. I like the ending, which follows a dialogue-driven confrontation with my parents: "I learned that day Santa does not exist, and now the world is a much darker and more uncertain place. Testimony is fundamental to the foundations of knowledge, and yet I fear that much of what I believe is as real as Santa Claus."

My other essay was on free speech on the college campus. I argued that free speech should not be restricted on the college campus, and I think I made some interesting points. However, I really need to revise it and break up some of the paragraphs before I submit it.

Hopefully my papers are accepted since I've never "published" anything in my life. In any case, my English teacher recommended it so I'll see.
