Kids:
The movie, in part, focuses on two teenage guys (Telly & Casper) whose lives seem to revolve around sex and drugs. Their behaviour ranges from despicable to disgusting to downright criminal. The other part of the movie is focused on a teenage girl (Jennie) who isn't nearly so depraved, but is effected by those who are. Particularly Telly (who has AIDS).
Before I go any further in this review I feel it's necessary to make clear just how monotonous Kids is. I'll break the movie down scene by scene:
-Telly tricks a virgin into sleeping with him
-Telly and Capser talking about their sexual exploits
-Casper pisses on a wall in broad daylight
-Telly and Capser talking about their sexual exploits
-Telly and Capser steal from a store
-Telly, Casper and friends get high and talk about their sexual exploits
-Jenny and friends talk about sexual exploits
-Jenny tests HIV positive (she's just another virgin Telly has slept with)
-Telly and Capser talking about their sexual exploits
-Casper stares at Telly's mom's breasts while she breast feeds
-Telly steals money from his mom's sock drawer.
-Telly and Casper buy some drugs
-Jennie goes looking for Telly
-Telly, Casper and friends get high and beat some random guy half dead.
-Telly, Casper and friends go swimming.
-Jennie gets stoned (no, not in the Old Testament kind of way)
-Telly, Casper and friends party and get drunk and stoned.
-Telly tricks another virgin (Darcy) into sleeping with him, Jennie arrives, watches, and does nothing.
-Casper rapes Jennie who is passed out from the drugs.
The end
It's a highlight reel of teenage debauchery loosely tied together with a simple plot.
