The Host

Ugh. I don't think I got that one...What's so great about corny dialogue, a cheesy looking, laughable monster, and...for something we've never seen before, a dysfunctional family?

I'm going to pretend you did not say any of that.
What? What are you talking about? It's girls and spaghetti. We love girls and spaghetti.

That's fine. I'm still waiting for you to see Kirkou and the Sorceress. Then I think we'll understand each other.

Planet Terror and I'm watching it right now.  I really can't wait to drop the extra $ and pick up the box set next year.

Given the battle that's still waging between Blu-Ray and HD-DVD, it's been incredibly hard for me to justify buying a dvd, even though in most cases, dvd prices have gone down as far as 50-75% (not counting the Blockbuster bargain bin sale). So, its been a few years since I actually bought a dvd.

However, if recall, the last DVD I purchased was a Japanese movie called "Love Letter" aka "When I Close My Eyes" by Shunji Iiwai. What a great moviing story. If any of you film lovers never heard of this movie, please do yourself a favor and take the time to enjoy this touching little tale.

Iwai's April Story is a really great movie.

DVDs are going to be around for a long time.  And even if one HD format eventually wins, they'll still play SD-DVDs.
