My hope is that if he can get a project with some financial success behind him he'll be in a better position to do his own projects.

A friend on mine is working on that film.  He told me they were shooting 3D tests a few weeks ago.  I'm interested in what he does with the format.

He's doing a kid's movie, awesome. I remember seeing him on Conan and talking about his daughter and her friends making a movie and him jokingly re doing it to his likes or something along those lines, it was funny. Should be interesting.

Scorsese to shoot next film in 3D

That was a great book.  It deserves the best visual treatment possible.  Which 3D may or may not be.
