Jerk-rubbed catfish with spicy cilantro slaw

I forgot what thread I was in. I thought this was a news headline!

I think I'm going to go to Taco Bell, but I'm going to do it after I finish my thesis, as a reward. I already have my bibliography done.

Making a thoughtful meal for friends makes me feel so happy and connected and satisfied with life. I want to cook for everyone! I'd like to buy the world a Coke! I resent Coke for intruding upon my brand-free happiness!

Anyway, I made chicken mole with tortillas, New Orleans rice and beans, and a side of stir-fried orange peppers and pineapple. We created margaritas with frozen limeade (the lazy and awesome way). And I left a friend to make the brownies from a mix, but she forgot the eggs. NB: eggs turn out to be a very important part of the brownie process. But we had fun trying to gnaw through the brownies while watching a few episodes of Coupling.

I hope that you all had lovely nights as well.
