 :)

I never have. They look like they take a great deal of finesse to eat properly.

Ever had quail?

One of my favorites, but haven't had it in years.

Not dinner yet, but there's enough here for tonight as well. The sun was streaming over half the dish--I should have moved the plate all the way over for a better picture. :)

While up in the Salt Lake City area today, I stopped at the #1 restaurant according to Tripadvisor, Lone Star Taqueria. As I looked at the menu marked on a chalkboard and the specialty items on paper sacks tacked to the wall, and out over the porch with it's rusty mismatched chairs, and at my pie tin lined with tinfoil, I couldn't help think that the high end restaurants must be livid. This hole in the wall is taking away their thunder?! The fun part is that the #2 restaurant may have menus, but it's nearly the same kind of dive. Really good food - price and nice surroundings = very popular.

Hello Filmspotters!
in the last couple of weeks I have not had much time for films nor posting, but today I had time to prepare Neapolitan ¨graffe¨ - it should sound like the name of a famous German female tennis player - it is one of the many variations of the ¨zeppola¨ - who could be familiar to those of you who have Italian-American friends.
It has eggs, wheat flour, potatoes, sugar, butter, sweet liquor - it should be Strega, today it was cherry brandy - yeast, a grated lemon rind, after deep frying they go into a bowl with sugar and cinnamon.
They have been a huge success with my kids and it has been quite a satisfaction for me because they are born and grown up here in Northern Italy so they are unfamiliar with most of the Southern cooking.

I'd argue, but I'm having trouble moving my extremities.

WillMunny how many kids do you have?

2: a girl and a boy (and they have eaten most of the ¨graffe¨ - ah! their young stomachs and digesting abilities).
