Very sad about Newman's death. You guys should have a review of one of his movies that maybe are not as well known, but are still great or you've been meaning to watch, like you did with Altman back around his passing.

I know a lot of people had been expecting this ever since hearing he had cancer, but that doesn't make it any easier to take. Such a sad day for film.

such a beautiful man in so many ways.

Yes, one of the first men for straight guys to have a man-crush on.  He was really, really, really good looking to the end.

A great man.

Other than his most famous roles, I would suggest everyone watch Nobody's Fool for a superb late performance, and either Somebody Up There Likes Me, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, or Hud to see him in his youthful pomp.

Salad dressing-wise, my favourite was the Ranch. At university I would buy a bag of pre-prepared salad and just pour in the Paul Newman.

We should do a Paul Newman marathon

I was thinking of doing this over the next couple weeks since there's a handful of his films I haven't seen (Hud and The Verdict immediately come to mind).

I also know there is a certain board members who hasn't seen any Newman films...
