I can't even deal. Monteith's death is the rotten cherry on the shit sundae that was this week. His aunt worked at my university, and Cory had been very oustpoken against austerity measures that were costing so many long-time employees their jobs.

Mel Smith
- Director, actor and comic great. You might recognise him as the torturer in The Princess Bride or as the director The Tall Guy. However I best remember him from Not the Nine O'Clock News and Alas Smith and Jones.

Ah hell. Now I feel like doing a THIEF/MANHUNTER/MIDNIGHT RUN/ROMEO IS BLEEDING/OUT OF SIGHT/SNATCH sextuple feature in his honor.
(I should probably try to fit THE LAST RITES OF JOE MAY in there, as well. It's been languishing in my instant queue for too long.)

The role I will always remember Dennis Farina for is as George O'Ferrell, the sore manager of the Minnesota Twins in
Little Big League
