I'm very online, so I'm as brain-poisoned by Twitter as everybody else, but I guess my feelings about Kobe are that whatever he did or didn't do, what he did in the last 15 years of his life made the world better and were a genuine, earnest effort to increase opportunites for women and girls. Some other day we can have a reckoning about Kobe and his truly complicated legacy, but right now people need space to grieve a man that irrefutably inspired a huge number of people, and to grieve the less-famous people aboard whose deaths have likewise left an unfillable hole in their loved ones' lives.

RIP Kobe, Gigi, John, Keri, Alyssa, Sarah, Payton, Christina, and Ara.

Sorry, I know this is a movie forum, but I spent the last day struggling with a lot of weird feelings about this and this was the first time I really knew what I meant to say.
