*shrugs* I don't get the sense he's out of prove anything or fool anyone. He does research to generate out of the ordinary questions. It's something I appreciate about his interviews. He's respectful but not reverential, conversational and not timid, challenging but not arrogant. I think he does a good job.

I like Jeff as an interviewer, but he is pretty full of himself.  He will fill the first five minutes of his podcast with ads at times.  Wow, I hate that.

Yeah, that part drives me crazy.

Just started listening to How Did This Get Made, a podcast about (very) bad movies. It is hosted by Paul Sheer, of MTV's Human Giant, and has various regulars and guests, all taking on infamously terrible movies.  They are relatively new, and the structure is a little shaky, but I think it will get smoother with more episodes.  However, when they are on a tear, such as when they attempt to dissect/understand the existence of Battlefield Earth or Drive Angry,  it's funny as hell.

Heh, I was thinking the same thing. So no.
I actually consider a lot of movies to be life-changing! I take them to my heart and they melt into my personality.

I couldn't bear to listen to it.  Apparently it was a bad encode, they're uploading a new one (if they haven't done so already).

"I'm pleased to announce my new podcast: The Q&A with Jeff Goldsmith - You can tune in by using this link-> http://tinyurl.com/6cm4r8t #fb" There should be Paul and Limitless episodes + intro up on iTunes. I can't check it out yet, but I'm very interested to hear what it is like.

Just started listening to How Did This Get Made

Love it. My only two complaints are: a.) it's too short (half-hour); and b.) it's too infrequent (semi-monthly).

In this same vein, I recently discovered Yeah, It's That Bad, wherein a trio of hosts analyzes a generally disliked film. It's like a more serious, film-nerdy version of How Did This Get Made?

Goldsmith has a new podcast called The Q&A /w Jeff Goldsmith. It's pretty much the Creative Screenwriting podcast.
