Holy smokes, Teproc! How do you find the time?

I'm slimmed down my lineup even further. Very busy at work and I have a really brief commute, which leaves me precious little time for podcasts. Even with this small roster, I've got a daunting backlog. In order of preference:

Doughboys (+ Doughboys Double bonus)
R U Talkin' R.E.M. Re: Me?
Comedy Bang Bang
Never Not Funny (+ Players Club bonus)
Spontaneanation - though I usually skip the improv portion
Playing Games with Jimmy Pardo - all caught up, waiting to see if there's a season 2
Why Won't You Date Me? - listened to the first couple, I love Nicole Byer but I fear the subject matter may get old
Filmspotting - haven't listened to an episode for ages, I'm afraid. Sometimes I save one and then I end up deleting it and just reading the top 5 on the webpage.
Big Grande Teachers' Lounge - listened to the first one, not bowled over but I keep hearing how good it is so I'm hoping to catch up at some point

So it's really just the first five on that list that I listen to on a regular basis. I was so happy for Womp It Up! to come back, but I just unsubscribed this morning. Their "let's keep ratcheting up the crazy on this premise" improv style was bugging me.

If you're not listening to Ear Hustle you should be. It's fantastic.

Started listening to the Flophouse. I still love How Did This Get Made, and no one will ever replace Jason Mantzoukas in my heart, but it's a damn good podcast.

Also, Who Shot Ya is a thing now. I was sorry when they stopped doing Wham Bam Pow but I'm not sure I'm going to be listening to it regularly. I don't love the roster, and really, one can only listen to so many movie podcasts.

Agreed, the episode with the woman who had been trafficked is a particular stand out.

I find every episode I listen to of the Leonard Maltin podcast I come away wanting to watch a bunch of the guest's films. Robert Patrick, Josh Hartnett, Bill Pullman... I haven't listened to many episodes, but I like that Leonard and Jessie are super fans and often have obscure titles to recommend.

Looking for funny podcasts. HDTGM hasn't done a ton for me, and I'm tapped out of CBB and Womp It Up. Keep High and Mighty in rotation as well, and the obvious ones like Giantbomb/beast and Filmspotting. Anything FLY should add to the rotation? Even open to other film ones, though I do like to skew more modern and don't much care for Slashfilm.

I pretty much only listen to Film Junk for my film-related news/reviews. Their low-brow humor and relatable viewpoints are a little more accessible than most of the other “cinephile” shows I’ve listened to (sorry Filmspotting, it’s not you... it’s me). The Big Reviewski is also enjoyable from time to time, mostly for the Haiku games.

Outside of those, my podcasts mostly consist of:

All Songs Considered (NPR)
Comedy Bang! Bang!
Edumacation
Rebel FM
Smodcast
The Comedy Button
The Game Informer Show
The Giant Beastcast

My current favorite is Doughboys. Not sure what a good entry point would be... there's a lot of inside jokes and history that informs the podcast, but I think in general any episode can be enjoyable to a first-timer. I guess pick either a restaurant or a guest who you're a fan of. Just avoid any episode with "Bug Mane" as a guest because that will immediately turn you off.
