I have no idea if this 2013 clip already has been shared here. If that is the case, how about a refresh? The text itself is availible here.

He's the guy who wrote the music and lyrics to Matilda! Very creative man. Thanks for the link to his speech. He's also wise.

I love Tim Minchin, I had no idea he had written a musical.

The production of Matilda is excellent, saw it a year or so ago. He has also done the music and lyrics for Groundhog Day The Musical. That one opened earlier this year on Broadway after having been on in London.

I got to see this in April. It's pretty good. The lead had to basically run a crazy, dangerous marathon each night he performed. Quite the feet of skill, oh and he had to sing while doing all of this... My favorite Minchin lines from the show are in the song "Stuck."

I think we should begin with a nice bit of Reiki

What's Chi?

[HEALER]
It's doo be doo be tra la la
It's holistic therapy

[PHIL]
What does that mean?

[HEALER]
It's energy
Vibrations and something magnets
And doo-be-diddly-pom-pom-pom
Now piss

[PHIL]
What?

[HEALER]
Piss into this
I'll analyze your isotopes
And something, something, quantum, quantum

:))

My sister is very woo-woo, and is awesome, so these lines crack me up.
