I have become addicted to the blog "Stuff White People Like." Very funny, but it stings in some places. Oh yes, it stings.

It was funny for a minute. Most of it made sense, while some of the topics didn't. I don't like that the about me page was so ambiguous (hiding the obvious whiteness of the owner) or that there was no post about Blogs. It really is more about yuppies and is designed for well-off white people. Of the 5 or so posts I read, it seems pretty hit or miss.

Not till now (I think it might have been archived). Eh, I mean, I agree with the theory or whatever of it. However, I didn't find it all that funny and without being funny, it just comes of hypocritical. That was my essential problem, I think the blog supposes that hatred will cause laughter. Just because I hate that people are all talk, no action does not mean I'll laugh when you point it out. The writer can do much better than this and should probably work more on the posts rather than cranking something out everyday.

I freely admit that when the writer generalizes "White People," the real focus in on a very small, very specific demographic. For example, almost all of the posts do not apply to my parents. However, having gone to a liberal arts college and having more T-shirt for causes than any other item of clothing, I find stuff like the "awareness" post to be laugh-out-loud funny. Cest la vie.
