I think "Close Encounters Of The Third Kind" is not only his best film, but one of the best science fiction films of all time.

Of the films so far:

Top 5 Best:

1. Saving Private Ryan
2. E.T.
3. Close Encounters of the Third Kind
4. Raiders of the Lost Ark
5. Jaws

I like a lot of his films.  Yet, he's made some stinkers.

Top 3 worst:

1. Hook
2. Lost World
3. War of the Worlds

lot of variety here.  Voted for Empire of the Sun.  Find it interesting that (to date) Shindler has no votes.  I was making a list of my top 50 of the 90's and never even considered Shindler and several others did not as well.  Has the film really dropped that far in hindsight?
