It played in NYC in December. I liked it better than Gray's Anatomy, which I also liked.

I agree... GA is one of Gray's weaker monologues IMO, and the stuff Soderbergh added was merely a distraction.  AEIGF is fantastic though.

Contagion Steven Soderbergh, 2011

Guess this is one of those 70's disaster thrillers or whatever, but done thru Sodaberg's usual kinda dispassionate and clinical style. Bunch of movie stars stand around say a bunch of stuff and then everyone starts dying. The film doesn't really have a human center; it's interested in more of the spread of the disease itself and the reactions to it than any deep emotional core (no matter how it tries to get you to care about Damon's everydude, it doesn't stick). Not that this hurts the movie all that much. The weird leaps in the narrative later on in the film do hurt it (the progress of the scientists), but that's neither here or there. The Jude Law character is just blergh, though. I'll gladly replace all the humans and their stories with a bunch of montages of hands touching surfaces and stuff like that. Go, Cliff Martinez, Go!

Final scene was pretty dank, I thought.

Either someone update this poll or someone make a new one. Come on now.

Let me start out by saying that I need to see more. Okay.

Ocean's Eleven (B+)*
The Girlfriend Experience (B+)
Che (B)
The Informant! (B-)
Ocean's Thirteen (B-)
Haywire (C+)
The Good German (C)
Erin Brockovich (D+)**
Ocean's Twelve (D-)

And that's it! A rare major blind spot of a major contemporary American film director for me.

*It is also my favorite George Clooney performance.
**I should revisit this though. It's been a long time.
