Only two words and you managed to spell one of them wrong.

Kloves, maybe, but Yates has been the best thing to happen to the series.

It's probably not their best comedy, but Burn After Reading is the Coens' funniest comedy.

See... I think A Serious Man is better, but not funnier.

You seem to be contradicting yourself here...or changing the basis of your argument?

Also, Raising Arizona is hilarious and the movie that made me a Coen Bros. fan.

ive just seen The Apartment for the first time, and it has reinforced an opinion ive held for a while:

I find 50's/early 60's era Jack Lemmon to be an irritating screen presence, in much the same way that some people find Dustin Hoffman or Woody Allen grating. In some of his films from this era i just want to grab Jack and tell him to STOP FIDGETING!!!! THE MATERIAL IS DOING THE WORK - TONE. IT. DOWN.

That's not to say i don't think he didn't deepen as an actor later in his career; his performance in Glengarry Glen Ross is one of my all time favourite performances - nobody swears like Jack! But i do find him grating in this and a lot of his other work from around this time.
"What should have been an enjoyable 90 minutes of nubile, high-school flesh meeting a frenzy of blood-caked blades, becomes instead an exploitational and complex parable of the conflicting demands of agrarianism and artistry. I voted a miss."

Best Supporting Actress 2009 > 2007 > 2008

And it's not even close.
